My baby girl is growing up! I can't believe Sharae is already 1 year old!! This last year has absolutely flown by. We are feeling a little more settled here in Philadelphia and are loving every second of our crazy lives and just can't get enough of our beautiful little girl. She is completely off the charts in height and weight. At her 12 month check up she was 31 1/2 inches and 29 lbs! She is almost half my height! She doesn't ever crawl anymore and each day she learns something new. She loves to bark like a dog, quack like a duck, and say meow like a kitty. She has 6 teeth, and 2 more coming in on the bottom. She says Mama and Dada and waves to everyone she meets. She is soo happy, and makes us even happier! Here are a few recent pictures, with more to come:

Wow. I can't believe that 2010 is already here! I also can't believe that is has been almost eight months since I last posted! To start things off on the right foot, blogging more frequently is one of my new year resolutions. I think that it may have been one of my resolutions last year, but with so many things going on I can't afford not to keep track of all the excitement! With that, I wanted to pay tribute to last year and just list some of the momentous and life changing events that took place for Dallas and me.

January 15: Went to visit Dallas in Malibu, CA - this turned out to be a very special trip :)

Farewell 2009... it was a life changing year--to say the least! I can't believe all of the extraordinary things that took place last year. It was a whirlwind and an unforgettable 12 months. Dallas and I have grown closer together despite all of the challenges and are so thankful for all of our blessings. We had no idea that 2009 would be the year of change for us, but it was one heck of a ride! We'll see if we can top it this new year--bring it on 2010!!

And because there are no pictures of our darling little girl who we are so in love with I wanted to post some pictures.

GIRL!!!!!!!

I had my ultrasound on Tuesday morning and it was such a neat experience! Dallas was able to come with me and I was so delighted that we were able to share that experience together. I had a great ultrasound technician who explained everything we were looking at. I was 18 1/2 weeks at the time of the ultrasound and it was unbelieveable to see how developed she already is. We saw her little face and nose, and could even see her opening and closing her mouth! We saw the outline of her entire little body and noticed that she has great, big feet! The technician was surprised at how big her feet are for her age... almost an inch long! I think she is going to be tall like her daddy :). The technician said that based on her measurements my due date could be moved up about a week, but because I had an ultrasound at around six weeks they probably will not change it... so that means she is very healthy, which is a HUGE relief to me since I was so sick for so long! Dallas and I were waiting patiently to find out what the sex was and when she said she saw girl parts we were both a little surprised!! We both had kind of a blank look on our faces, looked at each other and then just started laughing. We are so thrilled and excited for our little baby girl!!! It's so much fun being able to call her "her" and say "she"! She is very active and I feel her all the time now, which is so neat! I already love this little girl so much and I can't wait to see her in a few months! Here are the pictures from the ultrasound.... I was sad we weren't able to get digital copies, so you'll have to deal with the scanned copies instead!

Here is a shot of her big, little feet! The heel is where the little star to the left is and her toes reach all the way to the star on the right! (the dots that you can see more are actually bones in her foot-- the "metatarsals"). How cute!

This is her first "portrait." She is looking straight that the camera. She's laying on her side--the top of her head is on the right. I was a little sad because some of the other shots she was showing us you could actually see her lips, nose, and eyes and this one you see more the outline of her skull. Oh well, I still think she's cute!!

Here is her darling little profile. Her knees are bent in to her chest, so it looks like she still has a little "tail," but if you look closely you can see her little thigh and where her knee bends. Her calf kinda disappears in the photo.

Dallas survived his first Mini Camp with Eagles a couple weeks ago and did a great job out in Philly. It has been nice to have him home for a couple of weeks before he heads back out for his OTA's ("optional" team activities). Since he has been home a LOT has been happening! Last weekend was Dallas' Grandma Wonderful's 80th surprise birthday party! It was great to see her and to spend time with the family. She looks fabulous for 80!

We were also recently able to spend time with Dallas' other grandma, Grandma Ruth, who just had her birthday as well!

I forgot my camera, but a couple of weeks ago I was able to spend time with my family in Idaho (while Dallas was in Mini Camp) to celebrate my Gram's 90th birthday!!! Dallas and I are so fortunate to have so many amazing women in our life and even though it has passed, I wanted to wish all of them a Happy Mother's Day! We wouldn't be the people we are today without them!

This past weekend was the NFL draft and was very exciting for Dallas and I! Dallas is now a Philadelphia Eagle!! He signed a free agency contract with the Eagles and is excited to get things rolling with his new team. He has worked so hard all of his life and I am so proud of him for accomplishing one of his dreams. Thank you to everyone that has helped my sweet husband get to this point and for all of your support!

We are also excited for our other fellow Cougars who are taking their football careers to the next level and wish you the best of luck! Dallas and I are extremely delighted to announce that... we are going to have a baby!! I just recently finished my first trimester, and WOW did it go fast! I have been plagued with morning sickness, but am crossing my fingers that cloud will lift any day now! I'm not really "showing" to the public eye yet, but I will try to take some photos and you can judge for yourself. I am excited for when I can fit into the cute maternity clothes that my mom got me for my birthday, though! I won't be able to find out if we're having a boy or girl for about another month or so, which is driving me crazy! I want to know sooo bad! Anyway, we are so excited and can't wait to introduce you to our bundle of joy in October!

Texas vs. the Nation

On Saturday, the 31st of January, Dallas played in the college all-star bowl game Texas vs. the Nation. This is a game where all-star players affiliated with the state of Texas play against all- stars from around the nation. Because of his name, Dallas was selected to represent the Texas team! He left on Sunday, January 25 to El Paso, TX to begin preparing for the game. It was a busy and exciting week for him- lots of meetings, practices, and interviews. That Wednesday, Dallas' parents, his Grandma Ruth, and I all flew to El Paso to see him. On Thursday, Lance Jr. flew in as well! This was my first time to Texas and it was so much fun! El Paso is right on the border of Mexico. In fact, some parts of the freeway and some of the roads are pretty much all that separate Juarez, Mexico and El Paso! Saturday was the all-star game and it was fun watching players from all over the country come together and have the ability to play a game in less than one week. Dallas did a fantastic job and I am so proud of him! We all had a great time in El Paso supporting Dallas and enjoyed being able to spend some time with him. I love you, Dallas! Nice work!!

Last Thursday my mom, dad, and Brett brought Dennis out to Utah to get ready for school. Since Dennis just came home from his mission, we decided to go visit my dad's parents in Idaho. On Friday while Dallas was getting ready for the big game with the rest of the team, I went with my family to Pocatello to visit Gram and Grandpa Bob. It was so good to see them and to catch up with them. They are amazing people and I am proud to be their granddaughter. Here are some memorable photos at their home.

A couple of weeks ago my little brother (well, not so little anymore!) came home from his mission!! Dennis served for two years in the Argentina, Mendoza mission. It was soooo good to see him and I am so excited for him to be going to the Y! We will have lots of fun going to the football games together. I had a great time in CA with ALL of my siblings! We almost had our ENTIRE family together (minus Dallas--Fall Camp). That hasn't happened in over two years! It was a blast hearing about Dennis' adventures in Argentina and hearing him speak Spanish and English with a thick accent. Welcome home, Den! We love you!

Final Days of Summer...

Since it's almost been about a month and a half since my last post and SO MUCH has been happening, I thought it about time time to update!!!

BYU Football has officially begun!! Dallas had his season opening game last Saturday and it was a blast! We played Norhtern Iowa and won 17-41. Dallas has made a big position change over to Center since Tom Sorenson had shoulder surgery (get well soon!) and did a great job with his new assignment. Matt started at Left Tackle and it was so much fun watching them out there together. My whole family was able to attend the game (minus J.T. and Britney) and it was so nice to have everyone there. Happy Fourth of July everyone!!

I know that it's a little bit late, but Dallas and I took some well needed time away. We have been in Bear Lake the last two weeks and over the fourth--we had a blast!! Dallas and I went up around June 20th to Bear Lake, just the two of us. We decided not to bring any water equipment up with us, but brought the family Rhino instead (it's a side by side four-wheeler... sooo fun!). It was nice to get away and to spend some time outdoors with each other. We loved taking the Rhino on lots of trails, splashing through giant mud puddles, and the pretty views from the mountain tops. And we both enjoyed just relaxing and being together! We were able to stay there for about a week and then came home for just a day to do some laundry. The next day we took Matt back up with us and brought the boat and jet skis. It took me about a day to get over my fear of open water (I go through this every year), but after that I was good to go! A few days later the rest of Dallas' family joined us and we all had such a great time. We both loved all the time that we were able to spend out on the beautiful lake, our milkshakes from LaBeau's, and spending time at Grandma Ruth's condo. Thank you Grandma Ruth for making it all possible and to Lance and Leslie for all that you did for us up there--we know it was hard work!!

Since I didn't get to throw up a post for the fourth I will just say how extremely grateful I am to live in such a wonderful country and for the freedoms that I take for granted everyday. When I sit back and think about the sacrifices that so many men and women have made to protect those freedoms I am humbled. Bless the troops-- I love the U.S.A.!!

Will You Marry Me?...YES!!!

On Sunday, Dallas and I went for a walk up in the canyon with his family. It was such a beautiful day after all the rain that we've had. It felt so nice to be outside and to see the beautiful mountains, the river, and to finally see some trees with leaves and blossoms. We had such a long winter that there are still spring blossoms on the trees in the canyon! We were walking along the trail and Dallas and I found the spot where he proposed to me! It made me remember what an amazing day that was and how excited and utterly SHOCKED I was when he proposed! I had no clue it was coming and next to our wedding day it was the best day of my life. This is where the man of my dreams asked me to marry him!

The only thing that's missing in this picture are the huge dragon flies that were hovering over the water and a rainbow.I asked Dallas to show me how he felt after I said yes... :)

To this day I can't believe how amazingly wonderful the past two years of my life have been. Dallas, you are so amazing in so many ways. Every time I look at my ring I get giddy inside. Each day I am so happy knowing that I get to spend my life with you. I love you so much!

Last week I had the opportunity to go to California and visit my family for JT's LAW SCHOOL graduation! He has worked really hard these past three years and we are all so proud of him! I know that Britney has gone through a lot,too while JT has been in school, so we are so happy for you guys! JT has also been working really hard with the MMA organization Elite XC and has been doing amazing things. Now that he's finished with school he can really focus his talents on his job. It was great to see my family and to be a part of JT's graduation. These are some pictures that I took while I was there. I was so happy to spend time with my niece Brooke, who is just darling! I hadn't seen her since Christmas and it just made my day when she wanted me to hold her or sit by her. The only thing that was missing from the trip was my sweetheart, Dallas! Since starting this blog about a year ago, I had never been tagged... until now. I was tagged three times all within about a week of each other. I have to apologize though, I've been a real slacker in actually doing something about it until now! So, finally, here are my responses!!

Husband Tag

His name: Dallas James Reynolds

How long have you been married? 1 year and 5 1/2 months! (time flies!!)

How old is he? 24

Who eats more? You might be able to guess this one, but if you can't it's me... only if Dallas is sick that day or something :) Although I am known to be able to put down a bit of food

Who said "I love you" first? Dallas did.... and I of course said it right back!

Who sings better? Even though I sing more, Dallas definitely carries a tune better than me! I love hearing him sing!

Who is smarter? I think we actually balance each other out. We definitely have our strengths and they are usually in different areas, so it works great.

Whose temper is worse? It takes quite a bit to make our tempers go awry, but if we are both getting hungry we tend to start getting a little grouchy (I learned this about Dallas when registering for our wedding during lunch time and had to make a quick intervention and wisk him off to Chili's! Wedding planning + a hungry Dallas DO NOT mix well!! :) ha ha ha)

Who does the laundry? I do most of the time. It's funny though, we can only fit two pairs of his pants and one of mine in our tiny washer!

Who does the dishes? I do most of the time. He makes me do all of the household chores... he brings home the bacon... wait... I do that too... and you all better know I'm joking! Dallas is the biggest sweetheart and does the real work, plus helps around the house whenever he can! I do some of the household stuff to thank him for everything else he works so hard for!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Well, lately we've been alternating, but previously it was Dallas (from a laying in the bed point of view)

Who pays the bills? Mostly Dallas. He's great at this. He makes me sit down with him and go over our finances each night.

Who cooks dinner? I definitely do this one; although, Dallas can hold his own in the kitchen and is master of the grill!!

Who mows the lawn? Well, we don't have one now, but when we go to his parents he does, so he will probably when we get one. We both love to work outside.

Who drives when we are together? Dallas always does. He is such a good driver. (not that I'm that bad...)

Who is more stubborn? This would definitely depend on the topic. We can both be pretty darn stubborn.

Who is the first to admit they are wrong? Ha ha ha... That's a tough one... we usually just end up laughing about it.

Whose parents do you see the most? Hmmm... Dallas'! Mine live in CA and Dallas' live just down the street, which is wonderful!

Who has more friends? Dallas definitely has more friends here since he grew up here and I'm not the best at keeping in touch. I

Who has more siblings? TIE! We are exactly the same! We're both the middle child with an older sister and older brother and two younger brothers!! Cool huh?!

Who wears the pants? He definitely wears bigger pants than I do... does that count? :)

Bag Tag

Ok, so the rules for bag tag are: Take everything out of your purse, and without throwing anything away take a picture and then explain the items found therein.

* I'll be honest. I cheated. I started cleaning out my purse one night and realized I hadn't done my tag yet, so I am missing a handful of receipts and gum wrappers.

I am going to start at the top and then try to go in rows from left to right so you can follow, hopefully :)

4. Sunglasses slip cover (notice, however there are no sunglasses in the purse!)

7. Lots of batteries! 7 to be exact. I usually have my camera with me and there is nothing I hate worse than running out of batteries during an important event! :)

8. Receipt from WalMart shopping trip: Looks like I got a few more items than were on my list. I need to be better at that!

9. "Just in case" medicine. Dallas and I have sensitive stomachs so we always have some stomach meds on hand.

10. Neccesity: Chapstick. I have horribly chapped lips most of the time. I've tried the, "If you don't use it as much your lips will get used to not having it." Doesn't work.

11. One lip-liner, two different lipsticks, and a lip gloss. The funny thing is that if you know me I'm never wearing any of that except on Sunday. Maybe I have it in there in hopes that maybe I'll notice it and put it on? Don't really know...

12. Let's count: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...7 pens! No wonder I couldn't find any in my apartment...

Spring has Sprung Birthdays and Fun!

I am now a quarter-of-a-century old! Yikes! I just recently celebrated turning the big 25. I think that means I'm officially an adult now. And, if there's one thing you should know about me, I hate growing up! I guess it's pretty much inevitable though. I'll just stay young at heart. I had a great birthday and I was surrounded by my friends and family. Dallas took me out to dinner to my favorite restaurant and I had such a good time on our little date. He's the best! His birthday is coming up pretty quick here, so I'm excited to be able to do something for him for once! Thank you to everyone who made my birthday special.

Last Saturday was the BYU Blue and White Game. It was a great day, not to mention the best spring weather possible! Before the game they had a children's clinic where all the kids came down on to the field to practice drills with the players. Our nephews Jackson, Jared, and Lance all came to have some fun with Uncle Dallas and Matt! Those boys (and that means Matt and Dallas, too!) were so cute, not to mention athletic doing the drills! It was so much fun to watch. I especially loved watching my Dallas with the kids. He is going to be the best dad someday.
I love him so much!

Winter Catch Up!

Ok, so I am trying something new here. I just realized that I can post to my blog from Word 2007. I know it works, now I'm just anxious to see if it works formatting wise, etc.! I've really been improving my blog abilities lately! J

I still have some winter catching up to do: Valentine's Day! I have the sweetest husband in the world! I had to work late on Valentine's Day and Dallas and I had decided to celebrate on the weekend instead of the actual day. I came in from work and sitting on the counter were 3 dozen of the most beautiful roses I had ever seen! I walked around the corner and Dallas had a beautiful dinner waiting for me! He had even overheard me talking about a few things I wanted to pick up and had gone and gotten every one of them. I love you, Dallas! You are so thoughtful and I loved our Valentine's Day!

New Wallpaper!

I finally figured out how to make my blog look cute! (Yay!) Changing the wallpaper is something I've been wanting to do for a long time now, and after trying for an hour and a half I finally figured it out! And, after all that work I realized that it wasn't very difficult to do after all. So... if there is anyone left out there that doesn't know how, just let me know and I'll tell you how so you don't have to spend an hour and a half trying to figure it out!

Now all I need to do is be a better blogger and I'm set!

Christmas 2007 and New Year's

We had a glorious Christmas holiday that was full of friends, family, and laughter. Dallas and I are so fortunate to have such wonderful families. We love spending time with them and that's what we were able to do over the Christmas holiday. We spent Christmas Day with Dallas' family and then we were able to go visit and spend some time with my family for New Year's! It was the first time that all of my family was able to get together in a very long time. We were only missing Dennis who is serving his mission in Argentina! We had a blast and we didn't want the holiday to end. We went to San Francisco on New Year's Day where Dallas had his first bowl of clam chowder in a famous San Fran sourdough bread bowl. He loved it and can't wait to go back for more. I don't like... actually, I HATE seafood, but even I LOVE that clam chowder! I have miss placed some of my photos from Christmas here in Provo, so most of these are from California. As soon as I find the other pictures I'll add them in!

Las Vegas Bowl 2007!!

I can't believe I have been so behind on my blogging! Lots of things have been happening since the last time I posted way back in November! So, I am going to attempt to start playing catch up and recommit to being a better blogger! Dallas did a great job in the Las Vegas Bowl game against UCLA. It was definitely a nail biter of a game, but we came out victorious in the last few seconds when UCLA missed their field goal. It was an amazing feeling when that happened. I am so proud of my sweetheart for working so hard and having such a great season. I've made a little slide show of some highlights of our trip down to Vegas. We had the opportunity to see Cirque de Soleil (I think that's how you spell it), but we weren't allowed to take pictures. It was a neat experience. I was able to accompany Dallas to a luncheon and we were so fortunate to have the support of so many family members who came down to watch the game! Thanks everyone for your support!

Odds and Ends

Dallas has had a wonderful season so far this year. He just played a great game against TCU. BYU did a wonderful job and it was a fun one to watch. We came out with another "W"-- Yay! Dallas went against one of the greatest defensive ends in the country (Tommy Blake) and gave an outstanding performance. I think he did a fabulous job (way to go Babe!). These are some photos I took at the CSU game from a couple of weeks ago when my mom was in town. We went to the game with Jeff and my nephews. The shot with the grey hair would have been perfect, but the guy in front of me leaned forward right when I shot it! :(

I bought some shelves while my mom was in town a couple of months ago. I loved the design of them, however they did not quite match our apartment. They were originally white and I thought they would match our things perfectly, but once I got them home I realized they were the wrong "shade" of white. Anyway, my mom suggested that I paint them. I loved the idea, but was a little nervous to venture out and do something like that myself. While my mom was in town for her birthday recently (Happy Birthday, Mom!) we finally painted the base coat. She went back to California and left me to finish the accent or "antiquing" myself. So, I have finally finished the shelves and Dallas and I hung them the other day. I was so excited to finish this project and wanted my mom to see some pictures of how they turned out. Now all I have to do is figure out what to put on them... (hopefully it won't take so long!)

I know that Halloween is over, but I couldn't not post anything about it. We were never able to carve our pumpkins-- I should state that differently: On Halloween day I went to the store and the pumpkins were on sale for fifty cents each and I couldn't pass up a deal like that! Dallas and I didn't have time to carve them, but we were happy we at least had some pumpkins on our doorstep!

I have been feeling quite festive lately. Now that Halloween is over I am already thinking about Christmas. There was a great sale at Robert's the other day and I found a beautiful wreath that I got a steal on! This wreath is great. You can't tell from the picture, but it looks like it is frosted with sparkles. I need to spruce it up a bit, but I thought I would include a picture anyway.

Blizzard!

What a weekend!! BYU played Eastern Washington on Saturday, and even though we came out on top (7-42) it was quite a game! My dad was flying in for the weekend, so I was stoked that he was finally going to get to watch a home game with me. We had heard that there was going to be a chance of rain, so we went prepared to the game with a beach towel, a blanket, ponchos, coats, gloves, stadium seats, beanies... you name it! I have watched too many games in pouring rain, and I actually wanted to be prepared this time. Prepared we were. Knowing Provo, we had no idea what was going to happen at this point in the season. Rain could mean snow or sunshine. There's just no way of knowing. We happened to see it all on Saturday: cold rain, warm sunshine, slush, sleet, snow, and finally a blizzard! I think Dad and I used every little thing that we brought. Dad and I sat comfortably all bundled up in our blue ponchos and layers of clothing, sipping our hot chocolate while everyone around us scrambled to seek shelter. It was so much fun!! We had a blast. Dallas played great--even on a sprained ankle. His ankle got tackled during the UNLV game and he came home with a purple baseball on the side of his foot. This picture doesn't really do it justice. Hopefully he will make a speedy recovery. I know he's tough, but I hate seeing my sweetheart get hurt!

Sunday night we went over to Jennie's house for dinner. Jackson and Jared dressed up in their fireman and policeman outfits for us and Jared wrote Dallas a ticket for, "being too big!" It was so cute! Dad had a fun time with the boys and holding Isabella. Mom was sad that she wasn't here with my dad, but we'll get her up here soon!

Weekend Travels and Fun

Last weekend was Dallas' "bye" weekend, meaning it's the only weekend that he does not have a football game during the season. I don't know how Dallas does it all. Being a student athlete is tough and this break was well deserved. We were fortunate enough to have a very eventful weekend! We spent most of the time relaxing in beautiful Park City. The hotel we stayed in was very nice and we really enjoyed the half indoor/ half outdoor pool!

On Saturday we drove up to Pocatello, Idaho to celebrate my grandpa Bob's 90th birthday! He and my Gram are wonderous with their good health. It was so great to see them and to visit my birthplace! Dallas and I even stopped at one of our family favorites--Tasty Treat for a "Space Burger" and "Boston Shake"... delicious! One thing we weren't expecting was driving up in the first (and way too early in the season) snowstorm! Our windshield wipers broke, and it was an adventure making it up to Pokey!

My dad and Brett flew in from California for my grandpa's birthday. I was so happy to see them, but the real treat came when they visited us at our apartment for a few hours. We had a blast with them here. We all decided to play a little Guitar Hero--we never knew Dad was such a great rocker! It was a wonderful weekend!

Wow... so much has happened in the last few months I don't even know where to begin! We have been internetless (I know that's not a word) since our last post, but I am happy to have it back and be blogging once again!

Dallas is back in school now and the football season is well under way. He has been having a great season, as well as the whole BYU team. I have loved going to the home games and loved the opportunity I had to go to the UCLA game with JT, Britney, Brooke, and the rest of my family! Isn't Brooke adorable?! I think she looks exactly like "Boo" from Monsters Inc.

Dallas and I are also thrilled with our two new nieces: Rylie and Isabella! I have included pictures of both of them. We think our nieces are just beautiful! Rylie is the cute, petite blonde and Isabella is the sweet, plump brunette. Isabella has the cutest rolls!

One of the highlights of our summer was the trip to Bear Lake with Dallas' family. I didn't get too many pictures because we spent most of the time having fun in the water!

Niece and Nephews

Dallas and I have the cutest niece and nephews! We love spending time with them and I thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite photos of them. Currently we have one beautiful niece- Brooke. She belongs to my JT and Britney.These pictures were taken when she was just so little! We haven't seen her since her baby blessing, so I am glad that Britney is such a good blogger and keeps new pictures of her posted regularly!! Dallas and I are expecting two new nieces to join Brooke this summer and even out the numbers... Becky is due in early July and Jennie in August!

We also have four adorable and rambunctious little nephews. The youngest- Epeli, who in this picture is going for his first swim! He belongs to Brittany (yes we have two--Brittany is Dallas' sister and Britney is my sister-in-law). He is just learning to walk and I am having a difficult time accepting the fact that he will be giving up his speed crawl soon. It is so fun to watch him crawl.

Lance the 3rd will be turning two in September. He loves his Uncle "Dal-Dal"... as you can tell from this picture. He is growing up so fast and it's hard keeping up with all of his energy!

Jared and Jackson are two and four years. They are my sister-Jennie's boys. I can't believe how old they are getting and how grown up they seem. Jared is two now and Jackson a whopping four! Jared loves to be outside in the the garden getting dirty and Jackson is always riding his new bike. He is getting very good and will be off of his training wheels in no time! They are both very excited for their new sister "Cutie Pie" to arrive in August.

Welcome Home, Elder!

Dallas' younger brother, Matt just returned from the Munich, Germany/Austria mission. Dallas and I joined his family at the Salt Lake airport to pick him up. Everyone was so anxious to see him come home. Extended family and friends came to surprise Matt at the airport. It has been fun getting to know Matt--especially since I had never met him before! I was a little nervous to meet him for the first time, but now that he's home it's hard to believe he was ever gone! Bronx (Matt's dog) is especially glad Matt is home and is so happy that things worked out between Dallas and me... afterall he is one of the reasons that we even hooked up in the first place! :)

April showers bring... Birthdays!

Dallas and I both have our birthday's in April. I am older than Dallas by one year and just a couple of weeks, but Dallas loved to mention that I was two years older than he during those few days where I was 24 and he 22! To my relief we are back to just one year now. We had fun celebrating both of our birthdays. I had a fun surprise when my parents and little brother, Brett came to visit that weekend and stayed for a whole week! Dallas even got me a new gas BBQ for my birthday - or was it an early birthday present for him? - we had been wanting one for some time, so I was excited when he came home with it! This picture was taken right after I blew out my 24 candles.

For Dallas' birthday we surprised him with lots of new toys and tools for the BBQ... just what he needed and I even went to work in the kitchen and made him my grandma's famous German chocolate cake! We were too anxious to dig into it and skipped the fancy decorating, but it still tasted pretty good.

Wedding Bells are Ringing!

Dallas and I have attended quite a few weddings recently! John and Bonnie were married on April 28th. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding. It was fun to see some of our close friends tie the knot. Dallas and John went to preschool together and have remained great friends ever since. Everyone in the picture on the left went to high school together and were the best of friends. The only one missing is Tyler who was getting ready for his own wedding that was a week later!

Tyler and Shannel were married on May fifth. It was one of the best Cinco de Mayo celebrations! The weather surprised everyone that day with Spring showers and snowstorms, but nothing clouded the happiness of the day. Tyler and Shannel glowed in matrimonial bliss. The only thing that could have gone better was if I had remembered to bring more batteries for the camera! We were only able to take this one picture of such a beautiful reception.

Needless to say, Dallas is excited that some of his best buds have taken the plunge :)
